Swim Lesson #1

The painting is the first of an exploration of loose painted figures. The theme is summer. The goal is to loosen up my painting by using larger brushes and painting less detail. In this attempt I let myself get bogged down in details. Likeness isn’t a goal here, only in portraits. I’m searching for a more universal visual result.
